PARTICIPATION IN MISS UNIVERSE CUBA
Representing Pinar del Río in Miss Universe Cuba is not only a personal opportunity, it’s an act of purpose. I carry with me not only the name of my home province, but also the story of a woman transformed by faith, guided by eternal values and committed to a message that transcends external beauty. My participation is a living testimony that a woman of God can occupy positions of influence, integrity, and excellence without renouncing her spiritual identity.
Being the first Christian to enter this pageant is not a coincidence; it’s part of a greater calling: to demonstrate that one can shine with one’s own light without extinguishing God’s. This platform represents a showcase to elevate principles, dignify faith, and pave the way for other women who dream of achieving lofty goals without compromising their relationship with Christ. It is a historic moment that I embrace with responsibility, conviction, and profound gratitude.
FIRST RUNNER-UP AT MISS UNIVERSE CUBA 2025
On July 8th, Lisbeth Fernández made history as the first Christian woman to compete in the Miss Universe Cuba pageant, proudly representing Pinar del Río. Her participation went beyond beauty — it was a platform for purpose, faith, and impact.
Lisbeth stood out with her elegant runway presence, exuding confidence, grace, and authenticity. During the final question round, her response was clear, heartfelt, and impactful, creating a deep connection with the audience and resonating strongly with the judges.
Her outstanding performance earned her the title of First Runner-Up, celebrating not just external beauty but also a spiritual and emotional victory. Her testimony set a powerful precedent in the pageant’s history, proving that a woman of faith can raise her voice, shine with purpose, and be a light in influential spaces.
The Christian community is the largest in the world, with more than two billion believers, and to this day, no woman has emerged who wants to be the voice of this entire community on this universal platform. My goal is to be the queen who broke the prejudice that religion and beauty don’t go hand in hand.
